Our Mission
Providing Personalized Healthcare for Life
The doctors of Cary Medical Group are dedicated to quality health care for adults. We are an independent practice utilizing a team approach with a professional staff. For each of our patients we provide compassionate, confidential, scientifically based and cost-effective care. We partner with our patients to enhance and maintain their quality of life.
Primary Healthcare for Adults
In your early twenties is a good time to contact Cary Medical Group to locate a primary care physician. Part of our mission is to partner with our patients, which means listening to you is critical to treatment. Internists are equipped to deal with whatever problem a patient brings -- no matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. They are specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and can handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time. They also bring to patients an understanding of wellness (disease prevention and the promotion of health), women's health, substance abuse, mental health, as well as effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.
Caring for You for Life
In today's complex medical environment, we as internists take pride in caring for our patients for life -- in the office, during hospitalization and intensive care, and in nursing homes. When other medical specialists, such as surgeons or obstetricians, are involved, we coordinate our patient's care and manage difficult medical problems associated with that care.

About Internal Medicine
As doctors of internal medicine we focus on adult medicine. The physicians at Cary Medical Group have had special study and training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. At least three of their seven or more years of medical school and postgraduate training are dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults. Internists are sometimes referred to as the "doctor's doctor," because they are often called upon to act as consultants to other physicians to help solve puzzling diagnostic problems. Each of our physicians have completed a training program at a well recognized medical institution and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
The Definition of an Internist
A doctor who is certified in internal medicine is known as an internist; many adults around the world use internists as their primary care physicians. Internists should not be confused with interns, first-year doctors undergoing supervised post-graduate training. This medical specialty is incredibly varied, because it focuses on the whole body of the patient. Although the name suggests internal organs, internists also treat external conditions. Internists are often used to solve medical puzzles, since they are familiar with a wide range of medical conditions and their causes.
Certifications
On July 23, 2007 our physicians received a 3 year quality certification by the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association and the National Committee on Quality Assurance for achievement in the delivery of quality cardiovascular and stroke care. This award is given for successful achievement of multiple benchmarks necessary for the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease.
On August 21, 2007 our physicians received a 3 year commendation by the American Diabetes Association and the National Committee for Quality Assurance in the achievement of delivering quality diabetic care.
Cary Magazine Recognized Cary Medical Group as one of the three "Best Doctors" in the Best of Western Wake for 2008. The other two groups were a sports medicine group and an OB/GYN group.
