Background/Medical Practice
Dr Raman is a native North Carolinian. Upon graduating from Sanderson High School here in Raleigh , she was offered a unique opportunity of a combined undergraduate-medical program in India at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, a Harvard affiliate. While there, she earned gold medals in internal medicine, pediatrics and ob-gyn.

After completing a 3 month externship at Duke University Medical Center, she pursued a Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Dr Raman then did a teaching year at St Marys Medical Center in San Francisco,California.

Dr Raman is happy to call Cary home again, where she now resides with her husband and twin boys. She has been with our group since 2005.

Prior to joining Cary Medical Group in 2007, Dr. Singh worked at Primary Care of Cary from 2002-2007. From 2000-2002 as part of Rex Healthcare. Dr. Singh worked as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill during the year 2000 and from 1996-1999 as Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville. She was a Medical Officer at Primus Primary Care Center in Burke, VA 1993-1996 and prior to this a Medical Officer at Ripon Hospital in Simla, India from 1983-1987.
Dr. Singh is married to PJ Singh, a local oncologist. They have two children.
